11484 Daudet           Discovered 1988 Feb. 17 by E. W. Elst at the European Southern Observatory.
Alphonse Daudet (1840-1897), mainly remembered as a French writer of sentimental tales, believed that the world was misrepresented by novelists, who concentrated only on its uglier aspects. His Lettres de mon Moulin (1869) can therefore be considered a more joyful interpretation of the mystery of things and of individuals.
