11145 Emanuelli           Discovered 1997 Aug. 29 by P. Sicoli and P. Chiavenna at Sormano.
Pio Emanuelli (1888-1946) begun his astronomical career by working for many years at the Vatican Observatory and teaching astronomy and history of astronomy at Rome University. He was also a scientific journalist and well-known popularizer of astronomy.
