South African-born Karen Cilevitz (b. 1957) is a lifelong avid amateur astronomer and an active member of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada in Toronto. She enthusiastically hosts star parties and participates in many organizations to spread a love of astronomy. She is a loving wife and mother of three.
