11612 Obu           Discovered 1995 Dec. 21 by A. Nakamura at Kuma Kogen.
Obu City (population 76~000), where the discoverer lived for six and a half years, is located in the center of Aichi Prefecture. Known for its automobile industry, Obu is also famous for the 500-year-old "Doburoku Festival", held at Nagakusa-Tenjinsha Shrine.
