11302 Rubicon           Discovered 1993 Jan. 27 by E. W. Elst at Caussols.
The Rubicon (Latin "Rubico") was a small river that separated ancient Cisalpine Gaul from Italy. In 49 B.C. Caesar crossed this river without authorization. From this we have the expression " crossing the Rubicon", which means performing a step that definitely commits a person to a given course of action.
