12629 Jandeboer           Discovered 1971 Mar. 25 by C. J. van Houten and I. van Houten-Groeneveld on Palomar Schmidt plates taken by T. Gehrels.
Jan Allard de Boer (b. 1943) has been secretary of the Royal Dutch amateur society for meteorology and astronomy (NVWS) since 1995. He has done much to initiate contact between amateurs and professionals. Name suggested by A. v. d. Brugge and H. van Woerden.
