Konrád Beneš (1920-1999), a professor at the Technical University in Ostrava, was one of the pioneers of planetology in the Czech Republic and a past vice-president of the International Association of Planetology (1968-1977). The name was suggested by J. Honěk, P. Martinec and M. Eliáš. |
