8933 Kurobe           Discovered 1997 Jan. 6 by N. Sato at Chichibu.
The Kurobe ravine, in Toyama prefecture, is the largest and deepest in Japan, inaccessible for six months each year because of snowfall. An arch-type dam there is one of the largest of its kind in the world.
