Werner E. Celnik (b. 1953) studied astrophysics and is a longtime German amateur astronomer. He served as president of the German Vereinigung der Sternfreunde. As an astronomy writer and lecturer he always keeps the interests of beginning amateur astronomers in mind. He is also an experienced astrophotographer.
