7331 Balindblad           Discovered 1985 Oct. 15 by E. Bowell at the Anderson Mesa Station of the Lowell Observatory.
Named in honor of Bertil A. Lindblad (b. 1921) of the Lund Observatory, in recognition of his lifetime work on meteor orbits; his long-term effort in establishing a database for all meteor orbits, now generally used by all meteor workers; his stewardship of IAU Commission 22, which he served as president in the early 1970s; and, in particular, his contribution to starting the very successful "Asteroids, Comets, Meteors" series of conferences. Name suggested and citation written by I. P. Williams.
