7260 Metelli           Discovered 1994 Mar. 18 at Stroncone.
Named in memory of Orneore Metelli (1872-1938). He is internationally acknowledged as the founder of the school of naïve painting. He started painting well past the age of 50 in the back of his shoemaker's shop. In his more than 200 works, he represented a town that is a mirror of the world, a reflection of thousands of aspects of daily life.
