5653 Camarillo           Discovered 1992 Nov. 21 by E. F. Helin and K. J. Lawrence at Palomar.
At his private observatory in Camarillo, John Rogers secured follow-up observations of this minor planet. On California's El Camino Real, the town was named by the Southern Pacific Railroad in 1901 in tribute to Adolfo Camarillo (1864-1958), a prominent local rancher. The first discoverer is a former town resident.
