The bright white line indicates the portion of the orbit that is above the ecliptic plane, and the darker portion is below the ecliptic plane. Likewise for the asteroid/comet orbit, the light blue indicates the portion above the ecliptic plane, and the dark blue the portion below the ecliptic plane.

4897 Tomhamilton           Discovered 1987 Aug. 22 by E. F. Helin at Palomar.
Thomas William Hamilton (b. 1939) determined radar and fuel requirements for the Apollo Project. Later he wrote shows (in a dozen languages and also for the deaf) for programmable planetaria, taught astronomy for 32 years and trained students to enter the planetarium field.
