40106 Erben           Discovered 1998 Aug. 20 by P. Pravec at Ondřejov.
Karel Jaromír Erben (1811-1870) was a collector of folk songs, rhymes and fairy tales. In 1864 he published the collection Prostonárodní české písně a říkadla ("Folk Czech Songs and Rhymes"), containing over 2200 songs and texts from Bohemia. He is well known for his poem collection Kytice z pověstí národních ("Bouquet").
