38250 Tartois           Discovered 1999 Aug. 31 by R. Roy at Blauvac.
Lucien Tartois (b. 1924) is an amateur astronomer who was secretary of the Société astronomique de France. For many years he prepared the ephemerides for the society's publications. His skill as an astronomy teacher is very much appreciated, particularly at the science museum Le Palais de la Decouverte in Paris.
