Birnfeld is a small village located in the Hassberge Nature Park in northern Bavaria, Germany. This typical Franconian locality with half-timbered houses is dominated by a baroque castle. Hikers and night-sky observers find here ideal conditions for inspiring discoveries. Citation by T. G. Müller.
