Hartmut Eckstein (b. 1954) is an experienced astrophotographer at the Starkenburg Observatory, also known for his aesthetic landscape photography. His works of art have been published in several illustrated books and presented at exhibitions in Germany and Italy. Eckstein is a teacher of mathematics and history.
