Michel Legrand (b. 1932) is a prolific French musical composer, arranger, conductor and jazz pianist. He composed the music of many well-known movies such as The Umbrellas of Cherbourg and The Young Girls of Rochefort. He has won three Oscars and many other awards worldwide.
