30955 Weiser           Discovered 1994 Aug. 12 by E. W. Elst at the European Southern Observatory.
German palaeontologic geologist Thorolf Weiser (b. 1938) published an in situ investigation of the Nördlinger Ries crater. He later changed his field to mineralogy, using electron-microprobe analysis for the determination of several new minerals.
