Kiyotaka Kanai (b. 1951), a Japanese amateur astronomer, is a key member of the group Ota Uchuno Kai. A devoted observer of small bodies, he independently discovered C/1970 B1 and co-discovered (7752) Otauchunokai. Recently, he has become well known as a variable star observer. |
