24749 Grebel           Discovered 1992 Sept. 24 by L. D. Schmadel and F. Börngen at Tautenburg.
Eva K. Grebel (b. 1966) is a German astronomer, professor at the Heidelberg University and since 2007 director at the Astronomisches Rechen-Institut. Her main interests cover the fields of galactic structure, evolution and formation, dark matter and near-field cosmology. The name was suggested by the first discoverer.
