22348 Schmeidler           Discovered 1992 Sept. 24 by L. D. Schmadel and F. Börngen at Tautenburg.
Felix Schmeidler (b. 1920), a professor at Munich University, has for many decades been an astronomer at the Munich Observatory. He is well known for his valuable contributions to classical astronomy and the history of astronomy. The name was suggested by the first discoverer.
