Jürgen Rendtel (b. 1954) is a solar physicist to the Astrophysical Institute in Potsdam and a keen amateur astronomer who has organized a study group for meteor observers in Germany (Arbeitskreis Meteore) in 1975. He has also been president of the International Meteor Organization since its foundation in 1988. |
