5140 Kida           Discovered 1990 Dec. 8 by S. Ueda and H. Kaneda at Kushiro.
Named in memory of Kinjiro Kida (1893-1962), Hokkaido-born painter, known for his landscapes, and whose work has been compared to that of Cezanne and other impressionists. Name suggested by H. Ueda.
