19872 Chendonghua           Discovered 1960 Sept. 24 by C. J. van Houten and I. van Houten-Groeneveld on Palomar Schmidt plates taken by T. Gehrels.
Donghua Chen (b. 1948) of Gulangyu, Xiamen, is a retired surgeon and active amateur astronomer well known throughout China. He helped organize the fourth International Workshop on Cometary Astronomy in Shanghai in July 2009. The name was suggested by D. W. E. Green.
