17941 Horbatt           Discovered 1999 May 6 by R. A. Tucker at the Goodricke-Pigott Onservatory.
A skilled mechanical craftsman, Paul Allen Horbatt (b. 1946) has contributed greatly to the development of the instrumentation at Goodricke-Pigott Observatory, near Tucson, where this minor planet was discovered. His familiarity with detector enclosures and vacuum seals greatly speeded the fabrication of the instruments.
