17544 Kojiroishikawa           Discovered 1993 Sept. 15 by K. Endate and K. Watanabe at Kitami.
Kojiro Ishikawa (b. 1947) is a Japanese amateur astronomer who has been very active in popularizing astronomy since he was a high school student. Since 1980 he has visited New Zealand frequently to take photographs of the southern sky.
