129595 Vand           Discovered 1997 Nov. 2 by J. Ticha and M. Tichy at Klet.
Vladimír Vand (1911-1968) started his career with the study of variable stars and spectroscopy in Prague. Later he invented a calculating machine for x-ray analysis of crystal structures, contributed to the theory of viscosity of solutions and cooperated with Francis Crick on the structure of double helix DNA molecules.
