12616 Lochner           Discovered 1960 Sept. 26 by C. J. van Houten and I. van Houten-Groeneveld on Palomar Schmidt plates taken by T. Gehrels.
Stephan Lochner (?-1451) is a well-known painter of the Cologne school. He painted altar pictures and madonnas at the same time as the brothers van Eyck.
