11764 Benbaillaud           Discovered 1960 Sept. 24 by C. J. van Houten and I. van Houten-Groeneveld on Palomar Schmidt plates taken by T. Gehrels.
Benjamin Baillaud (1848-1934) was a director of the Toulouse (1878-1907) and Paris (1907-1926) Observatories. He founded the Pic du Midi Observatory and served as first president of the International Astronomical Union.
