11064 Dogen           Discovered 1991 Nov. 30 by M. Mukai and M. Takeishi at the JCPM Kagoshima Station.
The Japanese priest Dogen Zenji (1200-1253) built Eiheiji Temple in Fukui prefecture in 1243 in order to preach Zen Buddhism, and he fostered many disciples there. In Eiheiji Temple, over 200 monks still practise asceticism.
