10980 Breimer           Discovered 1973 Sept. 29 by C. J. van Houten and I. van Houten-Groeneveld on Palomar Schmidt plates taken by T. Gehrels.
Douwe Breimer (b. 1943), is Rector Magnificus and President of Leiden University, a world-renowned pharmaceutical scientist and long-time supporter of astronomy in Leiden. The name was suggested by T. de Zeeuw.
