10739 Lowman           Discovered 1988 May 12 by C. S. Shoemaker and E. M. Shoemaker at Palomar.
Margaret D. Lowman (b. 1953) has worked to understand the role tropical forests play in Earth's interconnected ecosystem. As a canopy biologist, field work has taken her to the treetops of Australia, Belize, Panama, Peru and Africa. She directs research and conservation at Florida's Marie Selby Botanical Gardens.
