10524 Maniewski           Discovered 1990 Sept. 22 by E. W. Elst at the European Southern Observatory.
Jan Maniewski (b. 1933), a medical doctor in Antwerp, has been immortalized in Elsschot's Tjip de Leeuwentemmer, which tells the story how he was kidnapped by his Polish grandmother in order to receive a catholic education.
