10487 Danpeterson           Discovered 1985 Apr. 14 by C. S. Shoemaker and E. M. Shoemaker at Palomar.
Dan Peterson (b. 1949) is a juvenile probation director who works with troubled youth to keep them in school and help them find direction in their lives. He served previously as a smoke jumper in Alaska and is a piano player extraordinaire.
