API VERSION: 1.2 API SOURCE: NASA/JPL Horizons API ******************************************************************************* Revised: Oct 24, 2016 Rosetta Spacecraft -226 http://www.esa.int/export/SPECIALS/Rosetta/ NOTE: To generate an ephemeris of Rosetta with respect to comet 67P, set the coordinate center to "@1000012". Such relative data is available only over 2014-Mar-3 to 2016-Oct-05, currently based on a merge of mission comet solutions CORB_DV_117_02_00186, CORB_DV_180_01_00255, and CORB_DV_257_02___T19_00344. Due to the spacecraft's close proximity to the comet and the comet's irregular shape, some quantities such as sub-solar/center latitude and longitude (cartographic coordinates) may not be meaningful. BACKGROUND: After entering orbit around Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko on 2014-Aug-6 at 09:06 UTC, Rosetta released a small lander (Philae) onto the icy nucleus on November 12 @ 13:04 UTC, with landing four hours later. It then spent the next two years and 55 days orbiting the comet as it move closer in toward the Sun. On 2016-September-30 @ 10:39:28 UTC, the Rosetta spacecraft ended its mission by landing on the comet in the Ma'at region. On the way to the comet, Rosetta received gravity assists from Earth and Mars, and encountered main belt asteroids 2867 Steins and 21 Lutetia.
