| Santo Murakami (1912-2005), born in Ehime prefecture, was a Japanese calligrapher, well known for his lively moving calligraphic style using several types of scripts. He devoted himself to popularizing calligraphy among young people. Santo received the Order of Cultural Merit Award in 1998. |
