5971 Tickell           Discovered 1991 July 12 by H. E. Holt at Palomar.
British diplomat Crispin Tickell (b. 1930), ambassador to Mexico (1981-1983) and to the U.N. (1987-1990), chaired the board of the Climate Institute of Washington (1990-2002) and the Government Panel on Sustainable Development (1994-2000). He also served on the U.K. government's Task Force on Near-Earth Objects.
