29249 Hiraizumi           Discovered 1992 Sept. 26 by T. Seki at Geisei.
The town of Hiraizumi in Iwate prefecture reached the height of its prosperity during the twelfth century as the home of the Fujiwara family in Oshu province. The Golden Hall (Konjikido) of Chusonji and the ruins of Motsuji temple are reminiscent of its glory.
