23783 Alyssachan           Discovered 1998 Aug. 17 by the Lincoln Laboratory Near-Earth Asteroid Research Team at Socorro.
Alyssa Lauren Chan (b. 1991) is a finalist in the 2007 Discovery Channel Young Scientist Challenge (DCYSC), a middle school science competition, for her biochem, medicine, health, and microbiology project. She attends the Rhoades School, Encinitas, California.
