23444 Kukucín           Discovered 1986 Oct. 5 by M. Antal at Piwnice.
Martin Kukucín (Matej Bencúr, 1860-1928) was a Slovak writer and the first important realistic novelist in Slovak literature. He spent part of his life in Chile and Argentina, as well as in Croatia (on the island of Brac), where he died. Kukucín was also a teacher and doctor.
