18643 van Rysselberghe           Discovered 1998 Mar. 1 by E. W. Elst at the European Southern Observatory.
Théo van Rysselberghe (1862-1926) was a Belgian pointillistic painter (Family in the orchard, 1890) who had been influenced by Georges Seurat. After the death of Seurat in 1891, van Rysselberghe gradually abandoned pointillism and returned to the classic French impressionistic style of painting.
