Despite losing her sight at age 13, Kristen Johnson (b. 1985) maintains an avid interest in the stars with tactile books. Daughter of astronomer Wayne Johnson, she served as an officer of the Foundation for Blind Children in Phoenix, Arizona, and of the National Federation for the Blind.
