17693 Wangdaheng           Discovered 1997 Feb. 15 by the Beijing Schmidt CCD Asteroid Program at Xinglong.
Daheng Wang (b. 1915), research professor, director and honorary director of Changchun Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, is one of the founders of optical science and technology in China. He became a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1955.
