Larysa Petrivna Kosach (1871-1913), better known under her pen name Lesya Ukrainka, was one of Ukraine's outstanding poets and writers. The city of Zvyagel (Novograd-Volynskyj since 1795) was her place of birth. This naming is on the occasion of the 750th anniversary of Zvyagel in 2007.
