12810 Okumiomote           Discovered 1996 Jan. 17 by K. Endate and K. Watanabe at Kitami.
Okumiomote is the site, in northern Niigata prefecture, of a community among the mountains in Asahi village. Many underground ruins and a stone circle, built 4000 years ago, have been discovered. The site was submerged by the damming of a river in 2000.
