12168 Polko           Discovered 1973 Sept. 25 by C. J. van Houten and I. van Houten-Groeneveld on Palomar Schmidt plates taken by T. Gehrels.
Norbert Polko (b. 1944) has scanned more than 200~000 glass plates---a world record---from the largest European astronomical plate archive, at the Sonneberg Observatory. The name was suggested by R. Hudec.
