12135 Terlingen           Discovered 1960 Sept. 24 by C. J. van Houten and I. van Houten-Groeneveld at Leiden on Palomar Schmidt plates taken by T. Gehrels.
Dutch journalist Henk Terlingen (1941-1994) presented the Apollo moon missions on Dutch television. Since the 1960s, his broadcasts in collaboration with Chriet Titulaer promoted a great interest in astronomy and space science in the Netherlands. The name was suggested by C. E. Koppeschaar.
