| Wallace Sargent (b. 1935), a British astrophysicist at Caltech since 1959, is known for analysis of quasar absorption lines and surveys of active galactic nuclei and remote clusters and superclusters of galaxies. He has determined the relative abundances of several elements in the early universe. |
