Michael Barrett (b. 1955) is an avid eclipse chaser who has observed over 14 total or annular solar eclipses, beginning in 1972. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Chicago Astronomical Society for 20 years, including some time as treasurer, and he was the general chairman of Astrofest for three years.
